Burcu started her career as an HR business partner at Schering-Plough, focusing on organizational structure, talent acquisition, and change management. She then moved on to strategy and scale roles, partnering with global finance and animal health teams based in New Jersey, USA, during the merger with Merck Co., where she oversaw organizational design.
Following this, Burcu returned to her native country, Turkey, to lead senior operational roles (HR Director and Talent Management for EMEA). She broadened her industry experience by moving to General Electric Healthcare, where she held several senior roles as an HR business partner for diagnostic imaging, services, and supply chain organizations based in Istanbul. Thereafter, she moved to Dubai, where she led the corporate HR function for the MENAT region across all GE major businesses, including healthcare, power and water, oil and gas, energy, aviation, transportation, and capital.
Burcu holds a bachelor’s degree in psychological counseling and guidance, and a master’s degree in organisational behaviour.
