The group has offices in over 30 countries, a global brand presence in more than 100 markets, and operates with over 10,000 people worldwide from 21 diverse nationalities. Their pharmaceutical division, a demerged entity from the main enterprise, operates in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and life sciences. The consumer products division is one of the fastest growing businesses of the enterprise and part of the pharmaceutical group.
The consumer health division sought a CEO for their Mumbai-based business. Finding a senior executive from the FMCG industry or consumer healthcare sector willing to join a relatively small consumer retail division presented significant hurdles. Attracting an existing CEO proved difficult given budget constraints for compensation. The confidential nature of the search added another layer of complexity to the process.
